The Christmas Reindeer

Thornton W. Burgess

Book Description

Young Eskimos, Tuktu and Aklak, help their father take care of their reindeer (caribou) during the year. And each year, during the coldest weather, they take the caribou down near Kringle valley. There the reindeer enter the valley and mix with others so the Good Spirit can pick out the eight best deer to guide his sleigh. When the herders count their deer, those that are missing are usually returned in the spring and are blessed.
